Classes begin with a formal bow to the professor; all students line up in descending belt rank order

02

Bow when entering and leaving the mat; bow to mat center when stepping off

03

Bow to your training partner before and after each sparring session

04

When the instructor is demonstrating techniques, every student must sit in seiza position

05

If you arrive late, wait outside the training area until welcomed by an instructor

06

If you must leave the mat or leave class early, ask the Professor for permission first

Students must wear the official Del Mar Jiu-Jitsu patch on the back and lapel of their Gi

02

07

Remove all jewelry, piercings, earrings, rings, necklaces, and watches before training

Minimal talking during class — keep it related to class material

06

No foul language or belching on the mats

07

Maintain proper posture during instruction; no slouching or leaning
